Terms of Service

 

General Technical Services, Inc. (“GTS”) Warranties*
New Computer Builds: 1 year hardware**, 30 days software***
New Networks: 90 days, hardware only****
Virus Removal: no warranty
All Other Services, Products, Parts, Software, Repair, Installation, etc.: 15 days
You, the customer, have the responsibility to verify that all services and products perform satisfactorily before signing the final invoice. Customer signature on the invoice indicates all work completed to customer satisfaction.

All warranty work is performed in-shop, unless the item needing repair cannot be physically removed, such as wired networks. Should the customer elect not to bring the item into the shop for warranty repair a travel charge of $1 per mile, or $25, whichever is greater, is charged.

New software and hardware often comes with a manufacturer warranty that exceeds the length of the GTS warranty. Customer is responsible to contact manufacturer for any manufacturer warranty occurring past the aforementioned GTS warranty and is responsible for any incurred charges.

* GTS is not responsible for any damage due to misuse, neglect, carelessness, etc. Please see Limitation of Liability for further exclusions.
**Hardware operation and compatibility guaranteed to be free from defect as long as computer case has not been opened by non-GTS representative. Computers purchased carrying the Nobilis brand name will carry a one year hardware warranty from Equus Computer systems unless specifically purchased with an extended warranty option from Equus Computer systems. The Nobilis Technical Support number is: (800) 576-7929 They will be able to serve all of your warranty needs. If you require additional technical support, GTS can provide the technical help you require at our hourly rate.
***Original software only; any software installed by a non-GTS representative may void warranty on original software – determination of whether software warranty is valid is at GTS’s discretion; virus acquisition voids software warranty. There is no software warranty on Nobilis brand systems.
****Equipment, cabling, and physical connections are guaranteed to be free from defect; GTS is not liable for any configuration problems or lack of network operation.

Payment

All charges are due and payable upon presentation of the invoice. GTS accepts cash, business & personal checks, and PayPal. Credit Cards are accepted through online merchant services, such as PayPal or Google Checkout. In the event terms were made in advance, all accounts are due and payable in 5/10/15/20/30 days. Signature on the invoice constitutes agreement that any account 30 days past due is charged a 10% monthly finance charge and will be changed to COD status until paid in full.

Your signature on this invoice or estimate indicates that you agree to pay GTS in full for products and/or services rendered. Failure to pay will result in legal action. You agree to pay for all legal costs incurred by GTS due to late or non-payment, such as collection fees, court costs, and/or attorney fees. Any checks not honored upon presentation to the bank incur a $45 billed charge.

Privacy Policy

GTS will not knowingly disclose personal and/or financial information to third parties. GTS is not responsible for privacy practices by affiliated third parties, such as PayPal, Equus, GoDaddy, etc.; third parties are governed by their respective privacy policies.

Limitation of Liability

The maximum liability of GTS and its representatives to you, the customer, is limited to the purchase price of the services rendered and/or products sold. GTS is not liable under any circumstances for loss or expense of any kind arising out of or resulting from malfunction, delays, interruption of service, loss of business or income, loss of goodwill, work stoppage, loss of data, and/or subsequent damage to any hardware due to hardware or software failure or viruses. GTS is not liable for claims against GTS for damages brought up by the customer. GTS is not responsible for any of the foregoing obligations, and customer shall have no right or recourse against GTS for any such obligations. In no event is GTS liable to you for any indirect, special, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages regardless of whether GTS or any of its representatives have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Revisions to these Terms of Service are posted at http://www.gentechserv.com and may be made at any time without customer or client notification.

Remember, always backup your data and programs! Ask your GTS representative for easy backup solutions.
